You might have noticed that we are in the middle of another election season. The rhetoric, the tone, the attempts to vilify and amplify are all around us – coming from candidates and superPACs and social media and neighbors and family and more.

You might wonder where does faith fit into all of this?

After five  weeks  of the “Bread of Life” discourse from John chapter 6, we now return to Mark’s Gospel. As we begin to wind down this long season of Pentecost, we continue our focus on the life and ministry of Jesus as well as God’s on-going work in the world.

September 1 -    James 1:17-27;   Mark 7:1-8, 14-20

September 8 - James 2:1-10, 14-17;   Mark 7:24-37

September 15 - Isaiah 50:4-9a;   Mark 8:27-38

September 22 - James 3:13-18;   Mark 9:30-37

September 29 - James 5:13-20;    Mark 9:38-50

Sunday School begins September 15 beginning at 9:15 am.  Classes meet in the  Nursery and adjoining room. All toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary age children are welcome.

Lutherwood Camp and Retreat Center is located on Lake Samish, south of Bellingham. It is a place where people of any age, ability, identity, and economic opportunity are welcomed, nurtured, and valued as a diverse body and a blessed part of God's creation, and where everyone is invited to explore God’s grace in creation. The quilters here at Central Lutheran Church make quilts for people around the world, through Lutheran World Relief.  Click below for more information on how you can help.  

The homeless, under-resourced, or just plain hungry are all welcome! Anyone in need can get a meal at Central Lutheran Church each Sunday night. Sunday Suppers are at 5:00 pm. These meals are provided by volunteers from  different congregations representing a variety of denominations in Snohomish County.

We use YouTube to live stream and record our worship services.  In each weekly Worship Invitation email, we include a link  to that Sunday's worship service.  Past worship services can be viewed by going to our YouTube page by searching for "Central Lutheran Church Everett Washington" or by CLICKING HERE.

We are working to get recordings of our worship services on our website.
